Yet another old photo, shooting subjects like this can be tricky; especially without artificial light. Not content with the already shallow DOF I went all in; opting for a macro shot, shooting this using a macro lens at only f/4 did not give me much DOF to play with. Autofocus was out of the question so to set up the focus I used a thread, I cannot remember what I used for the actual drops but I moved a horizontal thread; to match where the drops hit the surface then focused on it.
I also wanted a planar view but didn’t have a water tank ; instead I filled a container up to the brim and adjusted the camera level to the same height.
